Martell Caractere

A story of courage, perseverance and “caractere” that started in 1715 with Jean Martell and carried for nearly 300 years of dedicated patient craftsmanship in distillation, blending and aging of the best cognacs.

Martell premieres a innovative new line celebrating the unique character of each terroir in the Cognac region.

“Caractere” derives from the grapes of Grande Champagne, considered the finest cru. Rigorously selected and blended, it undergoes double distillation for refined complexity.

Matured nearly a decade exclusively in Limousin oak, it emerges a mahogany hue with an alluring perfume. Notes of dried fig, roasted coffee and blackberry introduce layered aromas.

Silky smooth on the palate, flavors of candied orange, toasted almond and cinnamon unfold in a graceful balance. The refined finish lingers with intrigue.

Bottled at a approachable 40% ABV, each expression in the Caractere collection pays tribute to Cognac’s diverse landscapes through nuanced craftsmanship and taste. Fine enough for connoisseurs, approachable enough for novice cognac lovers seeking a distinctive journey of discovery. A tribute to heritage and innovation.
