This exceptional Balvenie was given three decades to mature. The 1980 vintage finally saw the light of day in 2010, and quickly set about winning whisky lovers’ hearts, which it did with aplomb. Drawn from “traditional whisky oak casks and European oak sherry casks” and presented in an old style, flip-top box, it claimed gold at the 2010 International Spirits Challenge.
